Liberty Giving Circle Fund

Each year, the Liberty Giving Circle awards one or more grants to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations located in and serving the Liberty, Missouri community. Applications for the current grant cycle opened on September 23, 2024, and closed on October 25, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. Central Time. Awards are presented in December 2024. The grant is non-renewable, though recipients may be contacted in October 2025 for a follow-up on the project’s outcomes and community impact. To be eligible, applicants must be IRS-designated 501(c)(3) organizations with a Liberty mailing address and must provide services within the Liberty community. Grants are not awarded to individuals, political entities, educational institutions, or religious organizations. Preference is given to proposals that focus on aging, arts and culture, community development, education and youth services, health and life sciences, or social services. The grant application includes a series of narrative questions and requires submission of specific documents: a project budget, the organization’s current fiscal year budget, and a current list of board members. If the Grant Application Committee has follow-up questions, applicants may be contacted for additional information or a site visit. All recipients are required to complete a final report, which includes narrative responses and a detailed account of expenditures. Instructions for completing this report will be provided via email. Failure to submit a final report may affect eligibility for future funding rounds. Prospective applicants must register through the application software portal. First-time users without organizational credentials are advised to contact the Grantmaking Services Team for access. The Liberty Giving Circle's annual grant reflects a strong commitment to community stewardship and transparent philanthropic practices.
