Neighborhood Partnership Grant

The Neighborhood Partnership Grant, offered by Brown County United Way, supports community development initiatives that strengthen neighborhoods across Brown County. Brown County United Way is a community-centered private nonprofit organization focused on enhancing the quality of life for county residents by fostering systems that promote health, education, financial stability, and community connection. This grant opportunity aligns with the organization's mission to address the root causes of social challenges and to drive collective community impact. The Neighborhood Partnership Grant is structured as a one-year funding cycle running from March 15, 2025, through March 15, 2026. It provides financial support ranging from $1,000 to $10,000 for non-profit organizations and associations initiating new programs, projects, or activities in neighborhoods with high concentrations of households living below the ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) threshold and poverty line. Applicants are encouraged to propose initiatives that are innovative, demonstrate collaboration with community partners, and align with Brown County United Way’s strategic neighborhood priorities. The program’s four priority areas are Health, Education, Financial (Economic Mobility), and Connection. Examples of fundable initiatives include neighborhood beautification, mental health support programs, literacy and GED programs, financial literacy education, and community-building events. The overarching goal is to build vibrant, safe, and connected neighborhoods that offer residents the support and resources necessary for long-term economic and social well-being. The grant submission process is managed through Brown County United Way’s online system, e-CImpact. This secure portal allows both new and existing applicants to create or access accounts for submitting proposals and required documents. All submissions must be completed within the specified application period. The application window for this cycle ran from September 16, 2024, to October 31, 2024, closing at 11:59 p.m. Although the deadline for the current round has passed, the grant is recurring and likely to reopen in the fall of 2025.
