Women’s Giving Fund Grant
This grant provides financial support to nonprofit organizations in Summit County, Utah, that create lasting change for women and children by addressing systemic challenges and improving community well-being.
The Women’s Giving Fund Grant is administered by the Park City Community Foundation with the goal of empowering Summit County, Utah's women+ and children through high-impact philanthropic investments. Established through an endowment funded by over 1,000 founding members—each contributing $1,000 to gain lifetime membership—the initiative delivers substantial community-based support via annual competitive grants. In 2026, the program will continue its tradition of awarding three significant grants to nonprofit organizations addressing critical needs affecting women+ and children within Summit County. The 2026 Women’s Giving Fund Grant cycle opens on March 2 and closes on April 3. The program will award a $90,000 grant to a primary recipient, with two runners-up each receiving $30,000. These grants may support a range of initiatives including programs, capital projects, equipment, technical assistance, matching funds, consulting services, and collaborative efforts among multiple organizations. Funds may be disbursed over one to three years depending on outcomes achieved, but must be fully used within three years. Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) organizations or be applying under fiscal sponsorship with appropriate documentation. Proposals must clearly benefit women+ and/or children in Summit County, demonstrate community need using relevant data, outline measurable goals with a clear implementation timeline, and include an evaluation plan. Inclusivity and commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging are critical aspects of the evaluation. Applicants operating under a fiscal sponsor must provide a letter of agreement outlining respective responsibilities. Applicants should note that the grant program will not fund debt reduction, unrestricted general operating support, political or religious campaigns, one-time events, fellowships, or graduate research. Organizations that have previously received the primary award must wait three years before reapplying for the main grant. Submissions are reviewed by a Steering Committee of 11 women—including at least one student member—which selects three finalists. Finalists receive video production support and participate in a public voting process involving the entire Women’s Giving Fund membership. The application process includes a semifinalist notification by May 8, followed by a membership voting period from June 22 to July 13. The award celebration is scheduled for July 15. Finalists will be subject to site visits and follow-up evaluations by Community Foundation staff and donors. Runners-up are also required to submit a short report detailing the use of awarded funds. Applications must be submitted online by April 3, 2026. For questions, applicants are encouraged to consult the FAQ page or contact Minda Boland, Grants & Impact Manager, at [email protected].
