Grant Description

Edify is launching its annual Nonprofit IMPACT Grant, officially named the Edify Nonprofit IMPACT (Innovative Media Projects and Community Transformation) Grant. This initiative supports nonprofits by transforming their missions into compelling visual stories. Edify aims to amplify the voices of nonprofits making meaningful change through creative storytelling. Each year, the program selects two nonprofit organizations to receive customized media production services valued at up to $10,000. The grant offers a comprehensive package of services, including strategy development, film production, and post-production. Awarded projects will result in a 2–5 minute cinematic brand film and short 30–60 second social media versions, all professionally produced with licensed music, color grading, and sound design. These films aim to strengthen nonprofit communications and improve community engagement by visually conveying the organization’s mission and impact. To be eligible for the IMPACT Grant, applicants must be registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations. While the grant is open to nonprofits of all sizes and mission areas, eligible organizations must operate in one or more of the following counties: Beaufort, Jasper, Hampton, Colleton, and Charleston counties in South Carolina, or Chatham County in Georgia. Applicants must demonstrate a communications or fundraising need for a brand film, assign a staff liaison for project logistics, and commit to one pre-production story workshop and timely feedback during the editing phase. The 2025 grant cycle opens for applications on September 15, 2025. The application deadline is November 14, 2025. A semi-finalist interview period will be conducted between December 1 and December 12, 2025. Final grant recipients will be announced on December 15, 2025. Film production for awarded projects will begin in January 2026. Edify’s storytelling approach begins with a strategy session to identify the most impactful narrative of each selected organization. The production team conducts on-location filming to authentically capture the nonprofit’s story. This visual content is designed to resonate with donors and community members alike, enhancing fundraising efforts and organizational visibility. This annual grant reflects Edify’s commitment to supporting the nonprofit sector by helping organizations share their missions with cinematic quality. It provides a unique opportunity for mission-driven entities to elevate their messaging through professional media content, making a lasting impact on their communities and donor engagement.
