Community Angel Fund

The Food Freedom Project Angel Fund is a competitive grant initiative aimed at supporting grassroots efforts to advance food sovereignty and community-based food systems throughout the United States. Offered by the Food Freedom Project, a program under the Price-Pottenger Nutrition Foundation, the fund reflects the organization’s commitment to promoting food freedom and local empowerment. Only one application per project or individual is permitted per funding cycle. Proposals must be submitted online no later than 11:59 PM Eastern Time on November 15, 2025. Projects must be scheduled to begin after this date and conclude by December 1, 2026. Award decisions will be announced by January 15, 2026. Successful applicants will be required to enter into a grant agreement outlining mandatory reporting requirements, publicity terms including media usage rights, and the possibility of site visits by Food Freedom Project or Price-Pottenger Nutrition Foundation representatives. The grant funding is intended to support tangible and essential project expenses such as equipment, materials, training, hired labor, and other direct costs that contribute to the successful implementation of the initiative. While no match requirement is indicated, grant recipients must submit a tax document such as a Schedule C or F from a recent return as part of their post-award documentation. Evaluation of applications will be based on several factors including the project’s merit, feasibility, timeline, and potential community impact.
