The February 2026 cycle, themed "Drama in Your Ears," seeks to encourage audio drama submissions that creatively use sound to construct immersive stories and emotional experiences. Future themes have been announced through November 2026, giving applicants the ability to strategically plan and submit entries. The grant emphasizes storytelling that centers on character development, world-building, and audio experimentation, accepting proposals that may be original, adapted, or entirely experimental. Applicants are required to submit a short project proposal (3–4 sentences) through the application form available on the Content is Queen Marketplace. Applications for the February 2026 cycle open on January 16, 2026, at 4:00 PM and close on January 30, 2026, at 9:00 PM. Notification of the selected grant recipient is scheduled for the week commencing February 9, 2026, with funding disbursement and production beginning February 19, 2026. Accepted applicants must also commit to participating in weekly 1:1 production sessions every Thursday of the grant month, beginning with an initial planning call. Eligibility is inclusive but limited to individual creators aged 18 and over, regardless of geographic location. The program is particularly geared toward new and emerging podcasters and encourages applications from disabled, racialized, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and those from low-income backgrounds. Organizations, schools, and registered businesses with more than ten employees or annual turnover exceeding £50,000 are ineligible. Applicants may only submit twice within the 12-month grant cycle and must ensure applications align with each month’s specific theme. Selection will favor proposals that clearly articulate their thematic fit. The grant’s disbursement is milestone-based, and recipients are expected to submit reporting materials—such as audio files, social media results, or equipment receipts—by the end of the following month after receiving the grant. UK-based recipients must supply valid local bank details, while international recipients must have an active PayPal or Wise account in the lead applicant’s name. Failure to provide payment details within 14 days of request will result in forfeiture. Content is Queen does not retain any ownership rights over the podcast content produced but must be credited in all grant-supported outputs.
