United Way of Pettis County Grant Program

The United Way of Pettis County (UWPC) offers an annual grant program to strengthen its partnerships with service organizations operating within Pettis County, Missouri. The UWPC Grant is intended to fund specific programs and projects that align with the community impact areas prioritized by the organization: Youth Opportunity, Healthy Community, and Financial Security. Operational expenses are explicitly excluded from eligibility, ensuring that funds are directed toward initiatives with tangible, measurable impacts. Applicants may request a maximum of $25,000, and are encouraged to align their requests with knowledge of past grant awards and campaign totals to remain within reasonable expectations. The application window opens on September 1, 2025, and all submissions must be completed by midnight on November 3, 2025. All applicants must use the online Application Portal, which requires account creation or login. The same credentials will be used for future applications and agency reporting. To complete a successful application, applicants are required to reflect on program goals, desired outcomes, alignment with their organization’s mission, and measurable impacts. The grant strongly emphasizes outcomes-based funding and seeks to support programs that will create demonstrable changes in the community. UWPC advises applicants to refer to key resources such as the scoring rubric, allocation policy, agency agreement, and required reporting expectations. Supporting documentation required includes the UWPC 2025 Budget form, prior financials or audit records, IRS determination letter, certificate of good standing with the Missouri Secretary of State, and agency logos. Organizations with annual budgets exceeding $500,000 must submit a financial audit or review. Additional compliance includes enrollment in 2-1-1 and maintenance of agency information in that directory. An optional Grant Information Session will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at 4:30 PM at the Sedalia Public Library’s Community Room.
