This program is authorized by 34 U.S.C. 12421. The Training and Services to End Abuse in Later Life Program (Abuse in Later Life Program) (Assistance Listing # 16.528) supports a comprehensive approach to addressing abuse in later life, including domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, neglect, abandonment, economic abuse, or willful harm committed against victims who are 50 years of age or older.

The principle objective of the Traditional Conservation Grant Program is to support the development and implementation of States programs to conserve and recover threatened and endangered species under the Services jurisdiction. Financial assistance, provided in the form of grants, can be used to support projects that have direct benefits for federally listed species, candidate and at-risk species, and recently delisted species. States may apply for funding to conduct conservation work on federally-listed resident species that are included in the States cooperative agreement. States may also apply for funding to monitor candidate, at-risk, and recently delisted species. Projects proposed for funding may involve management, research, monitoring, and outreach activities or any combination thereof. Applications should include clear and specific information about how the proposed work would contribute to species recovery or prevent the need to list a species under the Endangered Species Act. Successful applications will be those that clearly demonstrate a direct benefit to the species or its habitat.

The US Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District (USACE) intends to enter into a cooperative agreement with a non-Federal public entity or nonprofit organization for land stewardship and restoration services on USACE land at the Bonneville Lock and Dam in Skamania County, WA and Multnomah County, OR. This cooperative agreement will assist Portland District in fulfilling environmental stewardship responsibilities consisting of restoration and management of native and historic landscapes and wildlife habitat while providing education and training opportunities to the recipients participants in the local communities around Bonneville Lock and Dam. These education and training opportunities exist through the need for natural resource and maintenance services on public lands within Bonneville Lock and Dams jurisdiction. The goals and objectives of this cooperative agreement are for the implementation of best natural resources management practices with regards to environmental stewardship, high and low density recreation areas, and operations/facilities maintenance. Environmental and maintenance training opportunities include but are not limited to: Vegetation Management Vegetation PlantingPark and Trail MaintenanceLitter RemovalTrail Construction and Maintenance This cooperative agreement will be awarded pursuant to 33 USC 2339 Conservation and Recreation Management. The recipient for this cooperative agreement must be a qualified non-Federal public entity or nonprofit organization that serves low security inmates and/or individuals executing community service sentences within the Skamania County, WA, Clark County, WA, Hood River, OR and/or Multnomah County, OR correctional system, and has experience in land stewardship and restoration using small work crews supervised by experienced leaders so that ecological concepts can be accurately conveyed to work crew and leaders.

This grant provides funding to various organizations, including government agencies and nonprofits, to help farmers in the Western Lake Erie Basin adopt better nutrient management practices that reduce harmful agricultural runoff and improve water quality.

The Food and Drug Administration's (FDA), Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER), Office of New Drugs (OND), is announcing this Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) for a Cooperative Agreement. The proposed work directly supports the U.S. FDAs stated goal of protecting public health from unacceptable risks from nitrosamine impurities in human drugs. Although significant experimental and policy/regulatory initiatives have been undertaken in this area, there remains a need for further research into and development and refinement of translational and implementable practices that will protect the public against nitrosamine risks while ensuring continued safe access to critical therapeutic drugs. The purpose of this funding opportunity is to support the development of Clinical Outcome Assessments (COA) for Substance Use Disorders (SUD). The COA development plan is expected to progress into the FDA drug development tool qualification program. This notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) utilizes the UG3/UH3Phased Innovation Awards Cooperative Agreement grant mechanism that includes two phases. The applications responding to this NOFO should contain a COA development plan that will cover both UG3 and UH3 phases. In the first 2-year UG3 phasethe project must have a set of operational milestones to be completed by the end of this period. Once NIDA program has evaluated the progress of the UG3 phase and determined that the UG3 phase has been successfully completed, it transitions to the UH3 phase to be funded for three additional years.The goal of this NOFO is to expand the armamentarium of COA that are FDA qualified as drug development tool (DDT) in the context of use (COI) of a SUD. Achieving this goal will greatly facilitate the development of treatments for SUDs. This NOFO requires a Plan for Enhancing Diverse Perspectives (PEDP), which will be assessed as part of the scientific and technical peer review evaluation. Applications that fail to include a PEDP will be considered incomplete and will be withdrawn. Training programs funded by the Brownfields Job Training Grant provide program graduates with the opportunity to seek and obtain environmental jobs that contractors may otherwise fill from outside the affected community. EPA intends to use this grant opportunity to support the creation of good-paying jobs with the free and fair choice to join a union and the incorporation of strong labor standards and workforce programs. Brownfields Job Training Grants help residents take advantage of jobs across a spectrum of brownfield related activities, including the assessment, cleanup, remediation, and planning/site preparation for the revitalization of brownfields. This can involve the assessment and cleanup of solid and hazardous waste; chemical risk management; stormwater management relating to site cleanup; planning and site preparation for low impact development activities; planning and site preparation for green infrastructure installation and maintenance; and vulnerability assessment and contamination mitigation planning. Applicants will be evaluated on the extent to which they partner with and secure hiring commitments from local contractors and other stakeholders in communities where EPA-funded projects are located.
